Starbucks Evacuated

USPA NEWS - At approximately 4:15 PM on Wednesday, multiple fire stations responded to reports of a possible structure fire at 11 Cuddy Lane in Dartmouth, which houses Starbucks and Pita Pit.

Firefighters arrived swiftly and determined that workers on site were testing a newly installed heating system, which generated smoke and triggered the emergency response. After verifying that there was no active fire, crews were cleared and returned to service.

With the potential for smoke or fire inside a commercial building to escalate rapidly into a serious incident, crews respond with urgency and preparedness, leveraging their expertise to deliver the fastest possible response and ensure a proactive approach to any emerging situation.

Police and Firefighters are grateful for the seamless response during rush hour along Windmill Road, and appreciate the cooperation of motorists who safely yielded to emergency vehicles, enabling crews to efficiently navigate through traffic.
